After more than 10 years of lobbying and negotiations a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between New Zealand and the European Union is secured. The agreement is set to remove tariffs on just about everything traded between the two.
So what does the FTA mean for you?
To find out we’ve got two leading experts to share their insights on the 30th of March in Auckland.

Ed’s role as EU FTA deputy will give us insight in the current state of the NZ-EU Free Trade Agreement, next steps, legislation, geographical indicators, as well as the inteded outcomes. There is a strong focus on sustainable development and other key areas such as services, investment, public engagement processes and Māori trade and cooperation.
Maureen will be speaking about the business implementation of the FTA and opportunities it provides with a focus on SMEs.
While both speakers have plenty to say about the topic, they’d love to hear what questions you have. Please let us know what you’d like to know about the FTA and we’ll try to incorporate those questions in advance.
